We’re delighted to be working with a beautifully restored country pub near Henley-on-Thames, which is looking for a talented Sous Chef to join their growing kitchen team. This is an exciting chance to be part of a pub-restaurant that prides itself on fresh, locally sourced produce and seasonal menus.
The kitchen currently caters for around 40 covers, with exciting expansion plans to increase the restaurant to 70 covers alongside a brand-new bar area. As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef and a brigade of five, supporting the smooth running of service while bringing creativity, consistency and flair to every dish.

Responsibilities as the Sous Chef…
- Supporting the Head Chef in leading the kitchen and managing day-to-day service
- Delivering consistency and quality across all dishes using fresh local produce
- Helping train and mentor junior members of the team
- Contributing to menu development and specials with creative input
- Stepping up and taking charge of the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
