We’re working with a truly beautiful countryside wedding venue to find a talented Head Chef to lead their kitchen.
Set in a picturesque riverside location, this elegant, purpose-built venue hosts exclusive-use weddings in a relaxed yet refined setting, with everything under one roof and a strong focus on seamless guest experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Head Chef who enjoys autonomy, creativity in presentation, and a role that offers genuine seasonal balance.
During peak season, the venue can host weddings up to 7 days a week, including busy stretches. In contrast, winter periods are significantly quieter, often requiring just 2–3 working days per week.
You’ll be wondering what’s in it for you as the Head Chef…
- £45,000 per annum plus paid overtime and an annual bonus
- A rare seasonal work-life balance, working 45 hours per week (quieter winters with reduced working days)
- Full control of your kitchen, rotas, and team structure
- Creative input into presentation while working from a proven menu bank
Responsibilities as the Head Chef…
- Taking full ownership of a small but efficient kitchen team of three
- Leading the kitchen for weddings and events (up to 150 covers, typically 75–100)
- Working from a centralised menu selection, with full creative control over presentation
- Managing rotas, including the flexibility to schedule day shifts (e.g. 08:00–18:00)
- Overseeing all kitchen operations, standards, and food quality
This is not your typical Head Chef role. You’ll have the excitement of delivering standout wedding experiences in a wonderful venue, combined with the rare benefit of genuine downtime in the off-season.
