A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Duty Manager to join a luxury country house hotel in the Derbyshire countryside. This position offers plenty of variety and the chance to play a key role in the day-to-day running of a well-established, guest-focused hotel.
Working alongside the Deputy General Manager and General Manager, you’ll support all areas of the hotel operation, ensuring guests receive exceptional service from arrival through to departure. From assisting during breakfast service and supporting the restaurant team to overseeing check-ins and check-outs and handling guest enquiries, you’ll be at the heart of the hotel’s daily operations.
You’ll be wondering what’s in it for you as the Duty Manager…
- £33,000 per annum plus circa £3,000 to £4,000 service charge
- 45-hour contract across five days
- Working 7am to 4/5pm or 2pm to close
- A varied role with excellent development opportunities
- Staff accommodation available for up to six months (£96 per week), just a short walk or drive from the hotel
- Support with finding longer-term accommodation if relocating
We’re looking for someone who…
- Has previous experience within a 4-star hotel environment
- Has strong operational knowledge across hotel departments, including Food & Beverage, Front Office and Housekeeping
- Has experience using Guestline PMS
- Is confident handling guest queries and resolving issues professionally
- Enjoys leading from the front and supporting colleagues across the hotel
- Has a genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences
