5 red star Country House Hotel, Palé Hall has recently been sold to private buyers Anthony and Donna Barney of Baslow Holdings Developments.🏨🌳 For the past decade, the award winning hotel has been owned by Angela and Alan Harper. However, they put the estate up for sale in February, with a guide price of £6m, due to plans to retire.💰 Located in Llandderfel, Wales, the hotel features 22 bedrooms, a grand hall, reception room, library, dining room, bar and a fine dining restaurant which holds three AA rosettes and a Michelin green star and boasts 50 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens.⭐️🏵️ The hotel dates back to 1871 and underwent an extensive refurbishment back in 2015. On a recent holiday to Cornwall, our MD, Oliver, and his family had the pleasure of dining at The Reef Knot Restaurant within The Idle Rocks in St. Mawes.🏵️🏵️🏵️ Led by Executive Head Chef Stuart Shaw, the restaurant boasts a menu showcasing “Cornish sea-to-table cuisine”, featuring sustainably caught fish and locally sourced produce.🙌🏼✨ To start their meal, they delighted in Cornish Crab Tian paired with Keta Caviar, accompanied by guacamole, red pepper gazpacho, and garden radish.🦀🥑 For the main course, the family enjoyed dishes including Pan-seared Cornish Hake with chorizo and Parmenter potatoes, complemented by charred grilled asparagus and salsa verde and Slow-cooked herb-crusted Lamb Rump and belly, served alongside crushed minted peas, roasted roscoff onions, olive potato terrine, and a lamb jus.🐟🧅🫒 To conclude their lunch, they opted for Warm Valrhona chocolate mousse with cherry textures, pistachio, and honeycomb, as well as Blackberry crème Brûlée with apple crumble and Roddahs clotted cream ice cream.🍒🍯🍏🍨 Goldenkeys.co.uk #discoveridlerocks #theidlerock #stmawes #cornwall #finedining
