We are seeking an experienced Head Chef from a luxury 4/5 Star Hotel background for a luxury senior living community committed to providing the highest standards of care, comfort, and dining experiences for their discerning residents and their families.

This luxury 5-star venue delivers exceptional service, and its dining program is at the heart of its commitment to excellence. We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead a culinary team, offering fresh seasonal dishes with a real emphasis on nutritional balance.

  • Salary up to £50,000 per annum

Responsibilities as the Head Chef…

  • Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff to maintain the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to design and create innovative menus that cater to a variety of tastes and dietary restrictions while emphasizing fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • Getting to know each resident personally, understanding their preferences, dietary requirements, and favourite dishes.
  • Overseeing the sourcing of fresh ingredients daily and ensuring the highest quality and standards in food procurement.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene, safety, and sanitation practices to the highest standards.
  • Manage kitchen budgets, control costs, and optimize kitchen operations for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements as the Head Chef…

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant or luxury senior living community.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients, and nutritional balance.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a culinary team.
  • Strong menu development and culinary creativity.
  • Understanding of dietary restrictions and the ability to accommodate individual preferences.
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
  • Strong organizational and budget management skills.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications.
