We are recruiting an experienced General Manager to lead a well-established, premium gastropub in an affluent Surrey location. This is a hands-on leadership role, suited to someone who thrives in a guest-facing environment, enjoys being on the floor, and knows how to balance high standards of service with commercial performance.
The venue has a strong food and drinks offering, with a particular emphasis on wine, beers and a growing cocktail operation. Guests are knowledgeable, loyal and expect consistently polished service, making this an ideal role for a confident and personable General Manager who can lead from the front.

- £30,000 per annum plus £15,000 service charge = £45,000 package

Responsibilities as the General Manager…
- Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences at all times
- Leading, developing and motivating the front-of-house team, maintaining a professional yet approachable service style
- Taking full responsibility for financial performance, including P&L management, budgeting and cost control
- Driving standards across service, drinks and overall presentation
- Recruiting, onboarding and developing team members, creating a positive and high-performing culture
You’ll be a great fit if you…
- Have proven experience as a General Manager within a similar hospitality setting
- Have a strong background in high-quality, guest-focused service
- Are commercially astute, with confidence managing P&L and financial targets
- Are a hands-on leader who enjoys being visible on the floor
- Have a WSET Level 2 qualification and a familiarity with DesignMyNight
