Our client is a beautifully refurbished country house hotel set in the Berkshire countryside, with elegant dining spaces, landscaped gardens and a popular terrace restaurant. They are looking for a talented Chef De Partie to join the brigade in their main restaurant, focusing on an à la carte menu built around quality seasonal ingredients and polished, modern British dining.
You’ll be wondering what’s in it for you as a Chef De Partie…
- £30,000 per annum plus £1,000 service charge
- Working 45 hours per week
- Exposure to a varied menu including classic favourites and more contemporary dishes, with a focus on fresh, seasonal produce
- Being part of a professional, supportive kitchen team
Responsibilities as a Chef De Partie…
- Preparing and presenting dishes to a high standard for the hotel’s à la carte restaurant service
- Taking ownership of your section, managing mise en place, organisation and cleanliness throughout service
- Working closely with the senior chefs to maintain consistency in flavour, presentation and timing
- Helping to guide and support more junior team members when required
You’ll be a great fit if you have…
- Solid experience as a Chef De Partie or strong Demi Chef De Partie within quality restaurant or hotel kitchens
- Confidence running a section during busy à la carte service
- Good technical skills, a strong eye for detail and pride in consistent plating
- Reliable transport and the ability to comfortably commute from areas such as Wokingham and Reading
