Set in the heart of the countryside, this independently run gem is known for its refined, seasonal menus and relaxed yet polished hospitality.
They’re now on the lookout for a Senior Sous Chef with a strong fine dining background to join their small, passionate team and play a key role in delivering outstanding food that’s full of creativity and flavour.
You’ll be wondering what’s in it for you as the Senior Sous Chef…
- £40,000 per annum plus circa £12,000 service charge
- Working 3 doubles and 2 singles per week
- Working with a dedicated team in a 3 Rosette, sustainability-focused kitchen
- Fresh, locally sourced and organic produce, including from their own smallholding
- Creative input into menus and dishes
- Career progression and mentoring from a respected Head Chef
Responsibilities as the Senior Sous Chef…
- Supporting the Head Chef in leading the brigade and running the kitchen day to day
- Delivering beautifully presented, high-quality dishes with consistency and care
- Contributing to menu development and seasonal changes
- Overseeing stock, ordering, and kitchen organisation
- Training, mentoring, and inspiring junior team members
- Maintaining exceptional food hygiene and safety standards
This role is ideal for a talented and driven Senior Sous Chef (or ambitious Sous Chef) with experience in 3 Rosette or Michelin-level kitchens, looking to thrive in a nurturing, independent environment with serious culinary ambition.
